- 1 cup red lentils
- 3 cups boiling water
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1) Boil the water in a kettle
- 2) Measure out one cup of red lentils and place in a sauce pan
- 3) Pour boiling water with the lentils and let cook until lentils are soft
- 4) Add salt, cumin, and turmeric and stir
- 5) Add water until desired consistency
